After installing I modified /etc/default/grub from GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash" to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="nomodeset quiet xforcevesa" And now I can at least use my laptop without windows, wich of course was a pleasure to get shredded and wiped from the hard disk. -- [lucid]
