I have a lot of graphics artifacts in KDE using the open source drivers,
so that is a less desirable option for me.
I just want to make sure I understand you accurately...please correct me

This worked for me from -proposed: 2:15.201-0ubuntu2~15.10.1
I am now able to install and activate the fglrx graphics drivers.
A new problem is that my multimonitor setup was working fine without the fglrx
drivers, but now has been broken:
Monitor 1 (connected to AMD card)
Monitor 2
Comment #48 describes how to patch and rebuild the package manually. Can
someone describe the steps to pull in the official package from 16.04
into a 15.10 installation?

I have 1558 with intel wireless and radeon, system freezes randomly as
above, so it's unlikely to be a broadcom driver issue.
Now I'm using .32 kernel without any problems.
