Update to 0.1.4 (with many fixes) and add (if needed) same additional patches from fedora (http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/xorg-x11-drv- qxl.git/tree/) and/or opensuse (https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/openSUSE:Factory/xf86-video- qxl) probably will solves this and other qxl bugs in ubunt
