I have exactly the same problem with a Dell E4310 and Ubuntu 10.10. I am also able to work around the problem with kernel 2.6.36-020636rc8-generic. Furthermore I do not need the xrandr commands by using xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.13.901+git20101117.33c08882-0ubuntu0sarvatt~maverick from xorg- edgers ppa.
On the downside the combination seems far less stable with respect to suspend/resume than original 10.10 packages. -- LCD monitor works only at higher resolution (intel) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/667635 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
