I am unable to enable multiple monitor support using a Dell Optiplex 780
desktop system with a Mobility Radeon HD 3470 with two monitors
connected by displayport using displayport -> DVI adapters under Ubuntu

i was unable to use my computer, because updates caused my keyboard AND
mouse to stop working, just yesterday i installing ubuntu eee 8.04 and
everything is working, i would LOVE to upgrade, but im worried i will have
to go through all the issues again

I tried a backport of the Karmic kernel to Jaunty with the patch listed
in that bug + the latest xorg-edgers packages and I still have the same
issue with compiz freezing. I am unable to switch over to the Karmic
install at this time, but the symptoms and general system response is
the same on my
