The report was as follows:

Steps to reproduce:

Pressing the Super Key used to display the numbers 1-9 and 0 so users
could use the keyboard to launch their favorite applications, i.e. those
locked to there.
Now those numbers are gone and users need to count down to find out
which key to press.
This a serious degradation

the clock display is the middle of the top bar and items are added to
the top bar from the right with the result that an item can overlap with
the clock -- see attached
Crazy.
Put the clock at the right end of the top bar and the problem disappears

window as follows.
