[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 542731] Re: [gm45] Xorg crash - Failed to submit batchbuffer: No space left on device

2011-07-03 Thread Huygens
However there is no upgrade so to speak for LTS. I'm still using Ubuntu 10.04 and I don't plan on upgrading before the next LTS. And as far as I know the issue is not fix for the LTS. So I would disagree that this bug is marked as Fix Released, it was only partially released to a few of the

I just got affected by this bug. I had Firefox, Rythmbox and LibreOffice Writer open. Firefox was idle (I was not using it directly but there is my gmail, twitter, etc. web apps). Rythmbox was idle (a song was playing, but I was not interacting with it). However, I was using heavily Writer. I

2010-10-10 Thread Huygens
Weird, I had removed the i915.powersave=0 and for a long time now (maybe a month) I had almost no flickering (could count them on one hand). However, today is hell. It is flickering every 3-4 minutes or so... I've check back the history of recently installed software, and I only have Chromium

The problem is still present with the latest kernel update: 2.6.32-22 Albeit, it seems less frequent, but still too much frequent. -- [Intel GM45] Irregular sync flashes (Lenovo T500, Dell Insp. 1545) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/538648 You received this bug notification because you are a

I also affected by this bug with latest Lucid updates. I have Ubuntu Desktop 64bit on a Lenovo Thinkpad T500. However, I did follow Chris Jones advice (Comment #5) and it is working. I did not have this sync flashes today during the whole time. -- [gm45] Irregular sync flashes with compiz on

Thanks Chris. I can confirm that suppressing the xorg.conf file and rebooting is working! I was quite surprised ;-) Therefore, this bug does not affect me anylonger. -- [g33] dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg (with sudo) ends abruptly. Does not show the configuration screens.

Sorry that I did not reply earlier, I thought I did. Actually since Karmic, the bug seems to be solved. I can use the dual screen properly either in UXA or EXA mode with or without 3D effects, and it is working like a charm. As far as I'm concern, the bug is corrected. -- [gm45] Dual screen is

It seems to be partly a UXA bug. I have restarted the X server without the UXA parameter and compare to the above list of anomalies I do not have the desktop background refresh problem on the secondary screen. In addition, this time if I select tiled for the wallpaper background the result is
