Unfortunately (or not) I am unable to reproduce it again. Rebooted a
couple of times to see if it was just luck but no, it seems to be
missing now.

I wrongly choosed xorg as the main package for this bug but I can't find
how to remove it as it affects unity-shell, not xorg.
Here is a short video of the unity sidebar behavior if my above explanation

Binary package hint: xorg
Trying to pin a new application on the sidebar results on it being
ignored. Pinned apps don't move to let you pin a new applications. If
you keep trying you can see them moving a bit a coming back into
position.
