Still get this on Lucid,
$ apt-cache policy xserver-xorg
xserver-xorg:
Installed: 1:7.5+5ubuntu1
The workaround in /etc/hal/fdi/policy/mouse-3button.fdi seems to be useless
now. But:
The problem goes away once i click the middle mouse button (the scroll wheel)!
