Seconded rmuncrief-9's comments. Compiled Catalyst 14.502 for Firepro W5000 from AMD. Worked flawlessly until dist-upgrade tried to install fglrx-dev for 15.1 (I think). Only workaround I've found is to hold packages: sudo apt-mark hold fglrx-dev fglrx-core fglrx fglrx-amdcccle
