*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 761065 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/761065 I just tried the kernel AceLan Kao posted in comment #13 and no luck. Connecting an external monitor causes a system lockup on my system. I went back to the 2.6.39 kernel in kernel-ppa and everything works
