Thanks Mark, I assumed that I could extract the drivers, patch them there, then install them. Patching after installing then executing the dkms command worked. Does anyone know why Cinnamon crashes and runs in fallback mode with these updates? -- You received this bug notification because you

I have a desktop and a laptop that need the 304 driver. Neither work with the patch provided in port #6. The dreaded cannot start X server message appears. Running 14.04 LTS 64bit (Ubuntu and Mint 17.1) on both. Tried all 4.0.x kernels up to 4.04 - DKMS always fails. Anyone know of a PPA or prebuil
