It's a little better in lucid but not much. I turned off the vsync option which helps the most, but Xorg is still taking far too much CPU when the machine is basically idle. I've got a new more powerful laptop (with an i5) so it's hard to directly compare, but Xorg is constantly using ~2-3%.
