I'm on Manjaro, Huawei Matebook D (Ryzen version), but I had the same
problem and I solved it by changing my /etc/default/grub file in the
following way:

then I did:

I have removed everything and started from scratch but using this time
fglrx-updates instead of the beta version from the amd website to see if
I can get rid of the segmentation fault. I will let you know after some
test.
