- Once current failed, I tried latest in case the problem was fixed on that
version of the driver - apologies for the confusion.
- I do have /usr in a different partition! I'll look at the bug report.

Hi guys,
Bit of a me too post: I just did a fresh install of Lucid, used the
restricted drivers to install the current nvidia driver but get the same
problem as Federico. Some details:
$ lspci | grep -i VGA
