Same problem here, clean install of Kubuntu Lucid Alpha 2. Nvidia proprietary driver does not install. I'll attach /var/log/jockey.log for the nvidia driver (I have tried twice). Since modern nvidia hardware will overheat rapidly if used with the nv driver, I would regard this bug as serious.
