i did a clean installation with the final xubuntu iso and i still have
the same issue with my lenovo T420 (intel only)

xorg crashed while using firefox

while i was closing some tabs in my firefox browser the screen went
black and after a few seconds i was presented with a login screen.
i upgraded to 15.10 4 hours ago and i never experienced this behaviour
on my 15.04 installation.
i supply an xorg log with the crash in addi

what soundcard are you using? the speakers where the crackling come from are
connected to my intel hd audio
i have a dq67sw mainboard with Realtek ALC888S audio codec

well i also have this bug and own an amd 7870 videocard using the catalyst
driver... i think it is obvious that
every proprietary linux video driver causes this issue.
of course the "LD" workaround also lets skype start for me, but i have a severe
crackling
on my "headset" for a few seconds an
