For some reason changes to compiz caused the crash, when i restored to
defaults by erasing all my session details it worked fine the
question is what caused the crash at least what package

I was installing an applicaiton from previous purchases in software
centre. After about 5 minutes or so, i am unsure what was happening when
it froze but eventallly the screen stops responding and if left the
computer will crash.

Xorg crashes after installing an applicaiton from software
Public bug reported:
The package wouldn't install when I had installed NVIDIA's 195 drivers
from the official website. Had to add the NVIDIA VDPAU Team PPA repo as
the standard NVIDIA drivers wouldn't work in 3d. i.e. '175 180 185 glx
drivers'
