I have a Lifebook AH532 here as well, I use 12.04.1 with no 3rd party
repos/ppa whatever.
xinput --list
shows:
PS/2 Generic Mouse
and the trackpad works just fine, even though it is not recognized in the way
described above.
could you explain what the problems/symptoms are with the default setup
I cannot reproduce the problem with a fresh install of lucid. The
problem did occur with a system I upgraded from intrepid (I think it was
intrepid) but does no longer occur with the fresh install. The hardware
was unchanged except for the harddisk but I do not think that should
matter. There have

i am running karmic + radeon graphics card.
when only one user is logged in everything works as expected.
as soon as i start a guest session or log in a second user the system begins to
behave sluggish and xorg cpu usage rises.
when this second user starts firefox the system gets unusable and xor
i am running an up-to-date karmic and experienced the problem (bad
graphic performance and the glxinfo error) described here. removing
xorg-driver-fglrx and rebooting solved the problem. should i report a
new bug / reopen this one?
