/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-intel-nightly/2013-04-07-raring/ and rebooted
but the same issues occurred when I removed my xorg.conf file.

pasted above (UXA).
I can confirm that this is a bug in xserver-xorg-video-
intel_2.21.5-0ubuntu1. I downgraded to xserver-xorg-video-
intel_2.20.9-0ubuntu2 and the issues went away.

I have an i5 2500K Sandy Bridge. When I remove /etc/X11/xorg.conf and
login to lightdm, SNA is used, but this causes my second monitor to go

It seems that these inefficiencies and instabilities only existed on a
2.6.28-12 EeePC kernel from array.org. I upgraded to a .31 kernel and
everything is much quicker and no graphical instabilities are to be

Compiz is slow and uses a lot of CPU. After a half-hour or so of
computer usage, Xorg crashes and I can't Ctrl+Alt+F to a different
prompt.
Right now I am in Karmic and am using UXA (as it is my only choice).
This happened in Jaunty, as well, when I tried UXA instead of EXA (
