I can confirm that the gpu lockup only occures on my intel machine. I've test
it on nvidia and ati and there are no problems so far.
It must be an issue in the intel-driver like Sebastien wrote.

In Unitiy 3D in oneiric ocelot 11.10 right after starting of the
dokument viewer eog the gpu locks up and only mousemovement is possible,
but no reaction on keyboardentries or mouseclicks. MagicKey
CTRL+ALT+PRINT+K works.
I have a Intel DQ35MP mainboard with a Q35 (GMA3100) Chipset.
