Everything is the same except "Handlers=" and the "id" number.
I didn't update gpointing-device-settings this time.

The touchpad didn't work at all when I performed an identical reinstall:
flashdrive iso of 14.04.1 LTS, checked boxes for updates and 3rd
party software.
It's a brand new laptop.
