I tried installing 4.18, but it persisted. I tried an older kernel, and
then the networking stopped working. I tried re-installing Bionic
Beaver, and when booting from USB everything works. But after install
and update, it's broken again.

I can boot to login, but if I input correct information it freezes. If I
boot in recovery mode and choose to resume boot, I can login. But my

I still have this bug with the Legacy drivers. Disabling gpu vsync fixes
the problem, but certain pages wont load and certain plugins wont work

I have had the same problem since 11.10. The problem occures on two
seperate machines (now) running 12.04 and both of them have a screen
size of 2560x1440.
I would think that the above metioned iMac runs at a screen size

I've just installed Maverick on my desktop and have flickering as
described here every few seconds on a totally clean installation.
Changing resolution, frequency or Visual Effects setting doesn't help.

After installing Linux 2.6.31-21-generic #59 from karmic-proposed the
bug appears to be gone. My computer no longer freezes after resuming
from suspend. The error shown in #10 is also gone. I got the idea to
install the new kernel from this bug

Don't now if the patch is supposed to work in Karmic but it didn't work
for me. I installed the packages from the PPA, rebooted, put the
computer into standby, woke it up and after about a minute it froze.
