Hello,
I'm also suffering from performance problems in gnome-terminal and
others. Switching on and off again the "Desktop Effects" makes it go
away for a while.
Is there a place where one can get the new nvidia package (260.19.12) as
a Ubuntu .deb?

It seems that this happens after every reboot only once. After it
crashes it runs stable for the rest of the day...

since last week or so suddenly mx X/Gnome session crashes randomly after
working with it for a few hours. Both screens (laptop and external
monitor) go blank for a few seconds, then the GDM login screen
