On the toch pad of the Acer Travelmate 8571 is printed a arrow for scrooling.
But now (I think since smaller area) is two finger scrolling available.
So you don't neet to use the smaller area, you can use two fingers.
And the small area is us

In 10.10 it's no problem with confused screen when switch to text console with
CTRL+ALT+F1.
The same is no problem after suspend to RAM.
But note: this is a special install of ubuntu 10.10 I have not installed it on
the laptop's HDD, I have done this with an other computer (with ATI Graphics),
It is a new installation.

After this Xorg crash the screen was confused, and this is the first one that I
have noticed (above also noticed NOT notified).
Now, I have installed the newest driver revision. Suspend makes no problems,
Before your patches, and new drives, the confused screen comes every
time after suspend, and this one was the first I have notified (X is
crashed, and restarted - with five suspends before). Now with two
suspends and kill Xorg, the problem does not occure.

I have instaled the revision 819 now (before 817 - with/without patch)
XV doesn't work in 819...

The buggy screensaver doesn't happen.
=> mainly: no errors anymore without an vga-option
And with vga=791 no errors, too.
What does the patch do?
Will the patch included into ubuntu 10.04??

size as before (TERMINAL).
Now I will test if the bugy screensaver is also fixed (see

NOTE: The reboot after suspend does nothing the display is still divided.
=> two ubuntu logos when rebooting/halt with green lips.
Without vga=791 the boot splash was when rebooting/halt (after suspend)
right.
