Screen corruption

I've erased .gconf* .gnome* and logged in with gnome classic (with
compiz) : so far no screen corruption.
I will try gnome classic with no effects and report back in a few day.

tried downgrading the nvidia drivers (173 instead of 270) --> same
issue

After upgrading to natty, the screen starts to show corruption (both in
classic and classic no effects).
I'm using dual screen with an nvidia 8800GT.
There was no corruption before the upgrade.
