Just verified bug also exists on Dell D600 laptop. Same symptoms, same
missing events (ButtonRelease) in xev.

The xorg.conf file has an added section for the mouse. I added that
while attempting to troubleshoot the problem. The bug still shows with
the stock xorg.conf file.
