I can also reproduce this with this command: xrandr --output LVDS1 --rotate right The screen is black and does not longer update. I can switch to a VT and back to the VT-7. The screen than show the previous VT-1 terminal screen and my mouse hovers over it. xrandr --output LVDS1 --rotate normal
