Hi there, i am using a 2730p too. I installed 12.04 and upgraded to the newest available kernel and there isn't any flickering at my screen. The laptop has Intel Graphics. I am using the vga output at 1080p and the laptop screen at the same time without flickering. -- You received this bug not
