I'm getting the same error. The NVIDIA current driver is failing to load Unity what so ever. I've tried fresh installs over and over again using a GeForce 9800 GT and a newly purchased as of today EVGA Geforce GTS 450 just to run Ubuntu with the same results. I dont dare at this time choose to install the additional restricted drivers when the popup appears because it kills the semi decent resolution im getting using the default driver. I've tried a litany of hacks/fixes I've found on Goggle to no avail. So add two more cards that are fried.
