Hi. I use a DVI -> HDMI screen to connect my external monitor to my
laptop. Sometimes, instead of creating another workspace and filling
both of the screens, Ubuntu just puts the image from my laptop screen
half and half between my laptop and second screen, and if cable is lef
I downgraded xorg-server-core to 2:1.10.4-1ubuntu4.2 and then pinned it
back. Everything works well now, but obviously this needs to be fixed.
Here's the steps for anyone else experiencing this problem. Install
aptitude if you don't already have it.
aptitude install xserver-xorg-core=2:1.10.4-1ubu
Thanks Fabio! Is there any way I can browse code changes to xorg? I
might be able to pinpoint some changes that could've caused this. I'm
really desperate to get this fixed.
