I cannot reproduce this crash. I put the laptop in the docking station,
disable the internal display, undock it and the internal display gets
usable again. Putting the laptop back in the docking station does bring
back the external display with the internal display disabled. However,

I can confirm that the maximize function is no longer functioning when
swapping the screens. When the desktop effects are disabled the screen
swapping works fine for me. Even with desktop effects enabled, a reboot
or possibly a new login will have maximize working again.

Running the kernel since last week on my laptop (nvidia graphics though)
without detecting any regressions.
Testing the kernel on an Fuj-Siemens Esprimo E today for 1.5 hours, doing a
loop over xrandr:
while true
do
xrandr -s 1024x768
sleep 30
xrandr -s 1920x1200
sleep 30
done
I have the kernel up and running on an Fujitsu-Siemens Esprimo E and a
Lenovo Thinkpad T61. On both systems I can change the screen resolution
without any problems. I also tested suspend/resume and it continues to
work fine. I've asked the customer to test the kernel as well.
