I did an update today and updated ubuntu-drivers-common. I tried installing
nvidia-331 again with all its dependencies (installed nvidia-prime and other
stuff together) and rebooted. I didn't even see a login screen, the computer
hanged in a black screen. I wasn't able even to

I don't think you read what I wrote one my previous message. I don't get to
have a responsive system in order to pull any log files at all. The ones I
attached where when booting with another kernel. With the 3.13.0-35 kernel
where the nvidia drivers are installed I get a black screen

Thank you Alberto, but this is not the issue, I have done what you suggested
already. The point is to find a way to provide you with useful logs for
debugging. I am open to your suggestions. Unfortunetaly the last attempt ended
up to an unrespondable system, so no way to get logs

Setting the nogpumanager parameter on boot didn't help. Symptoms same.
I tried purging everything and then installing just the nvidia-331 package
(which installed some others together) and then rebooted (with the nogpumanager
parameter removed) but got a Your system is running on
Same problem on my Thinkpad T430u . The only difference is that I get a
screen with just the wallpaper and nothing else after the login screen.
