Based on his comments, I also plan to remove the System Monitor applet
and see if it has any effect on the AisleRiot-induced crash.

problem. This bug is probably a duplicate of that one.

The Ubuntu Forums link noted by Dan Estberg appears to describe exactly
the same symptoms, but in one of the reported occurrences the video
driver in use was nvidia.
I have noticed that when I play AisleRiot Solitaire the Memory Utilization
panel applet shows the memory utilization approaching 10
Additional information: On the chance that it might make a difference, I
switched to the latest upstream Intel video driver(s) from xorg-edgers
/drivers-only/ubuntu-karmic. As of today's most current driver version,
crashes still occur

I have now upgraded to Karmic and am experiencing a different X bug (Bug
472271) which occurs randomly without wine or other large applications
running. So I am no longer concerned with this bug in Jaunty.

The time from boot or X restart to the next crash varied from about 10

I have already tried to reproduce with alpha-6, AMD64, live session, and
the problem was not seen.
For other reasons, alpha-6 is not a good working environment for me yet,
so I will just be careful what I do in Jaunty. If you would still like a
backtrace for the problem in Jaunty, just let me know
FYI, the X crash is reproducible on the same machine by accessing the
same test web page using Firefox under wine. I have not tried other
kernel or Ubuntu versions, but can if there is any suspicion that some
other version is better.
