here is a fix:
$sudo rm /usr/share/doc/libdrm2/changelog.Debian.gz
after try again.
it's possible then you use 3rd party repos !! ;)

i had the same issue .. so can't remember the fix actually ... but could
u try to change ur boot process,
so, change /etc/default/grub to:
-start-
GRUB_DEFAULT=0
#GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=0
GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT_QUIET=true
GRUB_TIMEOUT=10
GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR=`lsb_release -i -s 2

I have two monitors and use 'Separate X screen' mode.
So, I could no longer bring up the terminal with Ctrl+Alt+F1 with 'Separate X
screen'.
Works perfect when use 'Disabled' mode.
Not tried 'TwinView' mode.
