The current arrangement is a loss of functionality. An older driver --
and many other drivers for other hardware -- was capable of creating a
:0.0 and a :0.1 which is what the X window system has supporte

I could've kept trying with different variations, but as far as I could
see, the intel driver can't tell the hardware to run the way the conf
file is asking it to.
