Public bug reported: Frequent crashes when I; * unlock the screen * resume from suspend Usually, I see the login page, I put my password and then it's 50:50 chance that it will crash. If it crashes, there's a brief flash in screen and then it goes black. I cannot fire up tty with ctrl+alt+[1-7].

I'm suffering from same problem. The card I have is Mobility Radeon HD 4650, model of laptop is HP Pavilion dv7 2180us System status: fglrx is loaded and compiz is being used. Latest xorg drivers are installed from PPA. Latest ATI driver is installed from ATI website (along with Catalyst
