I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro A300D with a Radeon X1200 Using the kernel at http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.34-rc7-lucid/ (i386) fixes the shivering problem for me. However it will only allow me to use 1024x768, 800x600 and 640x480 on the external display with the same image on all monitors option and only the 1024x768 option works. With the extended desktop it gives me the option for 1280x768 but this does not work. In addition watching videos in full-screen makes them very jerky and now viewable. As a result I've gone back to my original kernel and at this time am trying to find another fix.
