I forgot to add, all I have to do is plug in the external monitor, and
then unplug it again when the login screen appears.

This has only started since I started testing Natty. I've tried various
things from creating an /etc/X11/xorg.conf, to plugging in a second
monitor. Strangely enough, when the system has booted up and is sitting
at the login scree
I tried it with nomodset this morning, it worked as it should. Thanks
