Same issue with Dash flicker. Background seems okay though. When
searching for an app the letters enter correctly, but when "TAB"ing to
selection the highlighting is unpredictable forcing me to use a mouse
for selection.

The system was working correctly at 3.5.0-17. After upgrade to 3.5.0-18
the system lost screen display on boot. Booting with "nomodeset" had no
effect.
I could log in remotely and see lightdm was NOT running, and from
Xorg.0.log that X failed to start.

This error typically occurs on my MacBook 2,1 at boot or when waking
from sleep. Mouse or keyboard function is not affected and the machine
functions perfectly.

Since I updated xserver-xorg-video-intel yesterday. My netbook was luggy
and graphic slow. After That I downgraded the driver. Now it crashes
