Thanks for the solution, it worked for me on E6410 with nvidia card. After installed the driver from nvidia website it worked, but then I installed the kernel updates of course it didn't worked. Then I uninstalled the preveious installed nvidia driver and reinstalled it from the ubuntu repo (System/Administration/Hardware Drivers).
