Seeing the same problem in Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS. Interestingly, the problem doesn't appear if I start gnome-do under strace:
strace -f gnome-do Attaching strace to an already-hung gnome-do session doesn't fix it. Running gnome-do under strace, then killing strace leaves the gnome-do session running fine: strace -D -f gnome-do sleep 10 killall strace Perhaps there is a race somewhere in gnome-do's startup? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1388734 Title: Xorg freezes after starting gnome-do To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1388734/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
