To clarify, i do not use any other package of the x edgers PPA. I only got the newer version of xserver-xorg-input-evdev from that PPA to see if it would fix the problem, which it did. I also tested it on an up-to-date Lucid install with xserver-xorg-input- evdev 2.3.2-5ubuntu1, and found the
