venue 11 with keyboard/battery dock, just installed ubuntu 20LTS (previously
16LTS), everything worked fine until I started the software installer, from
then on no touchpad, then restarting the system the touchpad works at login
for 2-3

Force full screen redraws (buffer swap) on repaint, the Sync to Vblank
options on nvidia server settings and setting the compiz fusion icon to
start at boot with indirect rendering disabled( I think this works

I have a laptop with a geforce 8400m g nvidia graphic card and I always
had this tearing problem. In Maverick I've managed to partially solve it
enabling Sync to VBlank both in the nvidia settings and compiz then
,always in compiz, i enbled the undirect fullscreen windows (I think
it's called like

This bug affect me too.
I have a intel graphic card and sometimes when I watch a video or when I login
the screen shakes and changes resolution.
So I decided to switch off the TV output writing a little xorg.conf (before
there wasn't) like this:
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "TV1"
