It seems that Lucid have chosen vga16fb per default. vga16fb doesn't support the vga= parameter and ends in broken tty consoles.
So I exchanged vga16fb with vesafb. I added vga16fb to the blacklist (/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-framebuffer.conf) and removed vesafb from it. Furthermore I added fbcon and vesafb to /etc/modules. (I'm not sure if it runs without this modification.) -- vga=791 kernel line option breaks tty consoles https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/391215 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
