I have the same problem In my eMachines E725 with Maverick, Natty and Oneiric. (with officials kernels, latest versions of xserver-xorg-video- intel, libmesa and libdrm). And with the Vesa mode (without 3D) is'nt possible to use Gnome 3. Any solution?
