I installed the new OpenChrome as instructed at the start of this
thread. Is there a new one since then?

patch -p0 patch-file-name-here
does not really tell me how to apply the patch. At which stage? in which
directory?
I have an openchrome directory with a src subdirectory.

I tried the patch in the openchrome directory and it seemed to work. But
remaking and reinstalling did not change anything.
Since it works with a totally plain xorg.conf file, there must be
something wrong with mine (the one generated by 9.04). But what is it?

I do not have a TV on my netbook.
Under which section do I add these options?

I tried putting them into the monitor section below the different
resolution modes. No change!
I also commented out the HP2133 TV section

After the autogen step, there was no Makefile. I had Makefile.am and
Makefile.in. I am thinking they are for amd or intel, but the MiniN ote
is a Via processor. So what do I do?

The problem must be in xorg.conf. The one that
sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver.org
made had almost nothing in it (see attached xorg.conf.new).
But the old one had lots in it. I copied it to xorg.conf and rebopoted, and got
low graphics mode again.
And wireless is now still very dead.
