Logging out does not help - it flashes in the login screen also. If I look into the screen while the screen is flashing it looks like only backlight of the display is turned of for a moment and than turned on and of and on... The icons, panels etc. are there but not lit so it looks like the display is off. If you need any other info, please write how to get it, and I'll copy/paste the output.
