After removing all nvidia packages and installing
nvidia-185-libvdpau(Transitional package for nvidia-185-libvdpau) and
running jocky (harsware drivers) to create new xorg.conf fixed it for
me..

After updates X didnt start.So tried to fail safe(recov mode) but that
didn't work either.after removing all nvidia (current,173,96) fail safe
worked.then ran synaptic to get nvidia-current.It gave me this.

Thanx Sennaista it worked.Thats the strangest thing. I tried that
earlier but didn't work.I added Sri lanka and error msg came back.But kb
worked till I re started.After reboot no kb.Had to remove Sri Lanka
again.

my desktop freezes ecept mouse pointer.If its a video playing,audio
continues to play.Its random.if its firefox it becomes sometimes gray
mut not most of the time.During that freeze my cpu spikes to 100% .after
few seconds it gets normal (both cpu & x).

mouse pointer and sounds work cpu goes 100% and becoes normal in like
2-3 secs and repeats like every 10 sec.key board does seem to work.The
things i type get delayed to be displayed some times.I ve seen mostly it
with firefox but not sure if its the cause
