Oddly the weekly ppa is using version number older than the stable ppa , so not
sure which to use...
When i try to downgrade to the weekly pps , synaptic asks me to uninstall
cairo-dock... So didnt test it with the weekly.
Kindly check the version numbers.

I'v had crashes, with the x-updates ppa, even when i switch windows.
This has happened on occasions where i switched the windows a tad faster.
I dont think this is a cairo-dock bug.

May not be cairo-dock's fault... it might be just that the animations
being triggered at a quick succession this happens.
And when i use the workarounds [using cairo-dock's/panel's workspace
switcher] , it takes me a bit longer and the graphics catches up ,
hence not causing a crash.

I'v added the cairo dock package since , this happens only with cairo-
dock window list and when i switch with the workspace switcher either
cairo-dock's or the panel's workspace switcher , i dont get the crash.

radeon.modeset=1 needs to be added at the end of the kernel line, 1 space
after splash. [Well, that's how it works for me :) ]
But do note , there is regression with using KMS , the FPS will be much lower
than without the KMS. [in my case nearly half]
So the system might *seem* a bit sluggish,
I can confirm this bug still exists in up-to-date Karmic. Only the screensaver
problem seems to have been *partially* resolved. Further when almost every time
i exit from the screensaver , i find an icon of fullscreen[attaching

Oh , i have the glxgears bug while movement Bug #96991 , this is a
long standing issue. the gears get stuck at the initial place and then
appear where the window is placed. [testing this at the moment with KMS
is near impossibility , with the sluggishness]

cannot work properly with DRI1. Does the problem also happen with DRI2
